I, Chung Nguyen, majored
in English at UC Berkeley, graduated in 2003; was born in
Vietnam, but my family came to the US in 1989 and have
settled in Bay Area since; love dogs, love cats; spend a lot
of time with Netflix; thoroughly enjoy random adventures
(from trying new restaurants to motorcycle riding to jumping
out of an airplane).
For me, photography
is about capturing a moment in time and telling a story with
that image. It's about showing how life is, not how you want
it to be, as life is rarely ever perfect and that's what
makes it beautiful. It's about documenting the interpersonal
connections that are subtly expressed, in between the words
we never say to each other. And it's about memory in the
face of a forward moving timeline that never slows down.
Yes, I strive to capture life, love, and laughter. And
